# The job hunting crisis Last day, my wife had an interview scheduled at a company in the nearby IT hub. The role had been referred to her by one of my maternal cousins. We were asked to report by 8:30 in the morning, as the interview was scheduled to start at 9:00 am. I decided that I would drop her off at the IT hub by car, and we would reach there by 8:00 am. We drove as fast as we could and reached the gates by 7:30 am. We were awestruck by the situation there - there were at least 500+ other candidates waiting outside the gates. My wife went to inquire about the scenario, and she came to the realization that the registration had closed by 6:30 am, as the first 200 candidates who had reached were admitted. It was truly disheartening to see so many people in need of jobs, either unemployed or unsatisfied with their current positions. The desperation to fill just a few vacancies by companies is leading to the heartbreak and mental anguish of thousands. I wonder why more people don't start their own businesses. The job market seems highly competitive, with many qualified candidates competing for a limited number of positions. This situation highlights the need for more opportunities and support for entrepreneurship, to provide alternative paths for those seeking employment.
